Academics
We lobby the State and Federal Government to improve the health system and to allocate funds to medical research and education.
We speak out on issues that concern our members, such as the proposed $400 million cuts to the National Health and Medical Research Council.
We engage with the media and conduct forums to discuss issues that impact on the public health system and on our members’ professional careers.
On an individual level, we provide:

- training programs
- anonymous and confidential support through our Peer Support Program
- seminars covering a variety of topics
- publications such as the vicdoc magazine, the Medical Journal of Australia and weekly electronic newsletter
