2012 DiT Subdivision Committee position descriptions
The AMA Victoria DiT Subdivision is the peak group representing the interests of all doctors in training in Victoria. It can be a powerful driver of change in the health system if used to its full potential.
An actively engaged membership is the core ingredient for the DiT Subdivision to successfully maintain the strength and relevance of this organisation for its members.
During 2011, the DiT Executive will continue to:
- encourage members to participate and get important issues onto the AMA Victoria agenda
- advocate for better working conditions through communication with hospitals
- work with RMO societies throughout the year
- hold DiT-specific events including the RMO ball and Mythbusters
- hold DiT-relevant career nights, expos, conferences, workshops and seminars
- work with the community through Volunteers on Call and high school visits
- improve Indigenous health and global health through AIM working party and global health series, and
- contribute to AMA Victoria publications.
Get involved with the Doctors in Training Subdivision
You’re encouraged to attend the monthly committee meetings at AMA House so you can stay abreast of issues and contribute to the DiT Subdivision agenda. The DiT Subdivision meets on the second Wednesday of the month excluding January. Please email David, davidk@amavic.com.au, if you will be attending to ensure we cater adequately (pizza and drinks provided free for attendees).
