AMA Victoria elections
Dr Catherine Duncan, an obstetrician and gynaecologist, was elected as an AMA Victoria Vice-President last night, and AMA Victoria President, Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, was returned for a second term.
Dr Duncan, who practises privately, is a graduate of Monash University and member of the Victorian Medical Women’s Society.
AMA Victoria has five Vice-Presidents who make up the Board of Directors, along with the President, Chair of the AMA Victoria Council, and Treasurer.
The elections also saw Leongatha GP Dr Sam Lees returned for a further two-year term as Vice-President, Ballarat geriatrician Dr Mark Yates for another year as Chair of the AMA Victoria Council, and Ballarat radiologist Dr Robert House for another year as Treasurer.![]()
