New candidate school for medical admin

9 May 2008

Are you looking to pursue a career in medical administration, reception, or practice management? AMA Victoria and mpstaff are offering a free candidate school to prepare receptionists and administrators to make this move.

mpstaff is a new medical practice recruitment service designed to find the right medical practice staff for general practitioners and specialists.

mpstaff Recruitment Manager, Lee-Anne Pollard, says the training will provide insight into the medical practice industry and is perfect for anyone looking to enter, return to, or further their career in medical practice.

“The training will provide much more than resume writing, how to present at interviews and how to answer the questions,” says Ms Pollard.

“It will teach candidates about jobs and roles in the industry, accredited training opportunities, and of course, information about breaking into the industry and securing a job. It will also inform candidates about the various roles on offer within the industry.”

“AMA Victoria represents more than 3,000 doctors (specialists and general practitioners) across Victoria and understands what they look for in their staff. We want to pass this information on to potential candidates to prepare them to work in the industry.

“Working in a medical practice is often the next step for receptionists and administrators who want to diversify their career and expand their skills.”

mpstaff’s experienced personnel assist doctors and practice managers in recruiting medical practice staff.
