Practice solutions for doctors

29 August 2008

Victorian GPs, specialists, practice managers and Doctors in Training can register now to attend the 5th Private Practice Expo (PPE 08), the most comprehensive showcase of local products and services for medical practices, to be held at Melbourne Park on 18 October.

PPE 08 provides practical solutions and advice to doctors and practice managers wanting to develop a new practice and allows existing practice owners and managers to discover new hardware, software, products and service delivery channels.

“Business principles in medical practice are changing as models of care grow and develop. The Private Practice Expo is a good platform to learn, explore and network,” AMA Victoria Vice President Dr Harry Hemley said.

“You can’t look for something if you don’t know it exists; PPE alerts doctors to new technology, systems and services they didn’t know existed.”

“If you are a practice manager, specialist or general practitioner in private practice, or a doctor in training thinking about setting up your own practice, you will find PPE 08 invaluable.”

The PPE 08 program will feature a combination of presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities for doctors and practice managers.

PPE 08 will be Melbourne GP Dr Fiona Broderic’s third Private Practice Expo. Dr Broderic says attending the expos has played a large role in the growth of her six-doctor Collins Street Medical Centre.

Dr Broderick says that at this expo she is looking to keep up to date with the changes in medicine and administration. Having implemented the latest billing methods, she is interested to see what is on the horizon.

Entry is free for AMA Victoria members and their practice managers. Non-member entry is $99. Register now at events@amavic.com.au (03) 9280 8722 or visit www.privatepracticeexpo.com.au
