As a full-time specialist which minimum salary am I entitled to?
Is it column 1 (minimum rate if specialist receives additional private practice income), or column 2 (Minimum Weekly Rate)?
The minimum weekly remuneration payable to a Full-time Specialist is that set out in Column 2.
Where a Full-time Specialist receives additional Private Practice Income derived from the treatment of private or compensable patients in the course of their normal employment, the Health Service is not obliged to pay a weekly salary in excess of the rate set out in Column 1, provided that the total of the Column 1 rate and the Private Practice Income is equal to or greater than the rate set out in Column 2.
