As a full-time specialist which minimum salary am I entitled to?
Is it column 1 (minimum rate if specialist receives additional private practice income), or column 2 (Minimum Weekly Rate)?
As a full time specialist you are entitled to receive “remuneration” at the level contained in column 2 for all your ordinary hours work (ie 38 or 40 hours). However, by agreement you may be paid a lower base rate than column 2 if you are able to earn and keep private practice income (earned within these ordinary hours) which when combined with your hospital salary takes your total remuneration above column 2.
