Join us for a relaxed and scenic day out to Mount Macedon, combining a guided visit to Forest Glade Gardens and the Stokes Collection with a long lunch at Mount Macedon Winery. This fully escorted day trip includes rail travel, coach transfers and hosted experiences throughout the day.

Spouses, partners, family and friends are very welcome to attend.


Program overview

The day will include travel by V/Line train from Southern Cross Station to Mount Macedon, followed by coach transfers with O’Riley’s Coaches.

We will visit Forest Glades Gardens and the Stokes Collection for a guided tour before travelling by coach to Mount Macedon Winery for a shared lunch. After lunch, the coach will transfer the group to Woodend Station for the return V/Line journey to Southern Cross.

Schedule
  • 8:30-8:45am - Group to meet at Southern Cross Station at the PTV Hub

  • 9:01am - V/Line train departs Southern Cross to Macedon

  • 9:56am - Arrive Macedon Station, transfer to Coach

  • 10:15am - Arrive at Forest Glade Gardens for tour including the Stokes Collection

  • 12:15pm - Depart via coach to Mount Macedon Winery

  • 12:30pm - Lunch

  • 2:45pm - Depart via coach for Woodend Station

  • 3:22pm - V/Line train departs Wooden Station to Southern Cross

  • 4:28pm - Arrive Southern Cross

Please note: timings are subject to slight variations due to various external factors. Participants will be kept up to date via email prior to the event.


Important access information

Places are strictly limited due to the capacity of the coach.

Please note that there is a walk from the coach drop off into Forest Glades Gardens. This walk is across uneven ground and includes an incline. This event may not be suitable for those who have limited mobility, and we encourage members to consider this carefully before booking.

Lunch at Mount Macedon Winery

Lunch will be a Feed Me More shared menu, including:

    Locally sourced prosciutto, bresaola, salami and cacciatore with house pickles, pork rillette, cannellini dip, crackers and wood fired bread
    Mushroom arancini with basil aioli

  • Sides
    Classic French fries with smoked paprika mayonnaise
    Rocket, fennel, red onion and parmesan salad with cherry vinaigrette

  • Mains
    A selection of wood fired pizzas
    Roasted pork and veal meatballs with Napoli sauce and parmesan

  • Dessert
    Venetian doughnuts with cinnamon sugar and butterscotch sauce

One glass of UUMM sparkling, rosé or cabernet merlot or mineral water is included.
