Join us for a relaxed day in Geelong, beginning with a visit to Geelong Gallery’s major exhibition Discovering the Impressionists: Paul Durand-Ruel, Art Dealer Among the Artists, followed by lunch at Caruggi’s.

The exhibition explores the remarkable story of Paul Durand-Ruel, the pioneering art dealer who championed the Impressionists and played a major role in bringing their work to audiences around the world. The exhibition features more than 70 paintings, including works by Monet, Renoir, Berthe Morisot and Pissarro.

Time: 9.50am – approximately 4.00pm
Cost: $70 per person


Timings for the day

9.30am: Meet at Southern Cross Station to catch the 9.50am V/Line train to Geelong.

10.51am: Arrive at Geelong Station, where a coach will transfer the group to Geelong Gallery.

11:00am: Meet at Geelong Gallery if you are making your own way there.

11.00am–12.15pm: Enjoy Discovering the Impressionists at your own pace. You can spend as much or as little time as you like exploring the exhibition.

12.15pm: Meet in the foyer of Geelong Gallery to walk down to Caruggi’s.

12.30pm: Lunch at Caruggi’s, including your choice of main meal from a set menu, shared vegetable and salad sides, and tea and coffee.

2.30pm: Coach pick-up from the drop-off point at Geelong Gallery and transfer to Geelong Station.

2.53pm: Catch the V/Line train from Geelong back to Southern Cross Station, arriving at approximately 4.00pm.


If you would prefer to make your own way to and from Geelong, please let us know when registering.

We will also ask you to please select your preferred main meal when registering. As we are generally a large group, having meal selections in advance will help make lunch run as smoothly as possible on the day.
