The Protected Action Ballot is now open, and we urge every eligble member to vote YES to Action. Vote YES to Every Action.
Voting YES simply authorises AMA Victoria and ASMOF to call protected industrial action if and when it becomes necessary. It doesn’t commit you to anything.
As always, patient safety remains our highest priority. We will not ask doctors to undertake any action that compromises patient safety, restricts clinical judgement or interferes with the delivery of appropriate patient care.
What you need to do
Check your email for your ballot from FairVote Services Ltd.
If you work for more than one health service, you may receive more than one ballot. Please vote in every ballot you receive.
Vote YES to the single ballot question authorising all 37 proposed protected industrial actions.
If you have not received a ballot, please email [email protected] and copy [email protected], advising that you are an ASMOF member expecting a ballot and listing the health services where you work.
Please remember that protected industrial action cannot begin until AMA Victoria and ASMOF formally notify employers that action will commence. Do not participate in any industrial action until we advise that it is protected and provide specific instructions.
