Publications & Communications
Through conjoint membership of AMA Victoria and the Federal AMA, doctor members of AMA Victoria have access to a number of journals and publications.
Student membership entitles medical students to the free Weekly Update e-newsletter. The Medical Journal of Australia is available to students at a discounted student rate. Medical students should ensure their contact details are current if they wish to receive all their student membership benefits.

vicdoc is the monthly magazine of AMA Victoria, enabling members to:
- keep pace with the issues affecting the profession
- monitor AMA Victoria’s lobbying and activities
- keep pace with the latest developments in medical private practice

Weekly Update
AMA Victoria's weekly electronic newsletter keeps members abreast of emerging issues, new developments, government decisions, legislation and regulations and events impacting on the practice of medicine in Victoria.
Australian Medicine
The Australian Medical Association publishes Australian Medicine (AusMed) on a fortnightly basis for members. Australian Medicine frequently includes extra resources on subjects that are important to doctors in Australia.

The Medical Journal of Australia
The Medical Journal of Australia is Australia's premier journal of medical practice and clinical research, published by the Australasian Medical Publishing Company Proprietary Limited (AMPCo) for the Australian Medical Association.
The Medical Journal of Australia (MJA) is published in two volumes a year, issues appearing on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, except for the December double issue which appears on the second Monday of the month.
GP Member Update
GP Member Update is an e-newsletter tailored specifically for general practitioners. It features relevant news, updates, events and training.
DiT Member Update
AMA Victoria's regular e-newsletter for doctors in training contains news and information relevant to DiTs.
