Victorian public hospital doctors have voted to endorse protected industrial action for the first time in two decades. As an intern, this is an important moment to understand - not only because it may affect your current workplace, but because it could shape the conditions under which you'll work throughout your medical career.
ASMOF Victoria is holding an important members' briefing on Monday 3 August at 8pm to explain what the ballot result means, what happens next, and how protected industrial action works.
Whether or not you choose to participate in any future protected action, it's important that you understand your rights, your responsibilities and the legal protections and limitations that apply.
The briefing will also explain the next steps in the campaign and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
If you're an intern working in Victoria's public hospital system, we strongly encourage you to attend and ensure you have the information you need as the campaign enters its next phase.
Date: Monday 3 August
Time: 8.00 pm
