Healthcare will be a defining issue of the Victorian election.

Join AMA Victoria and RACGP Victoria on Saturday 31 October for a special pre-election healthcare debate, bringing together political representatives to discuss the future of Victoria's health system.

Georgie Crozier, Shadow Minister for Health, Dr Sarah Mansfield, Victorian Greens health spokesperson, and Colleen Harkin, Deputy Leader of One Nation Victoria, have confirmed their participation.

The Government remains the exception. It has yet to confirm its participation, despite first being invited months ago. That is disappointing. A government seeking another term should welcome the opportunity to explain its record and plans to the doctors who keep Victoria’s health system running. Its absence would speak for itself. Help us secure Government participation by writing to Minister for Health and Mental Health Ingrid Stitt at [email protected], asking that she attend or nominate an appropriate Government representative.

The discussion will cover the issues that matter most to doctors and patients, including access to care, hospital capacity, general practice and workforce pressures.

Attendees can submit a question when registering, providing a unique opportunity to put healthcare concerns directly to political representatives ahead of the election.

Attendance is free, but places are limited and registration is essential.
