Coaching Consult for Medical Students | 30 Minutes | Delivered via Zoom

Overview

This 30-minute coaching session via Zoom is designed to help medical students refine their resume, cover letter, and written application responses for internship. You can choose to focus in depth on one or two documents or receive higher-level feedback across several—depending on how you would like to use the time.

Led by an experienced career coach, the session provides practical guidance to help you sharpen your message, align your documents with the requirements of different intern application processes across Australia, and clearly communicate your value and personal brand.

Our aim is to equip you with the skills and confidence to present strong, targeted applications in a competitive job market.

What to expect

This 30-minute Zoom session is led by an experienced career coach who specialises in supporting medical students, doctors, and health professionals. Sessions are booked online at a time that suits you.

Who should attend this session?

  • Independent, expert feedback on their resume, cover letter, or written responses
  • Support during an application process that can feel time-consuming and overwhelming
  • Guidance to plan and prepare effectively - laying the groundwork for strong applications now and into your medical career

What is coaching?

Coaching helps you build skills, increase your confidence, and improve your performance in your role. It can support you too:

  • Identify strategies to tackle challenges
  • Better navigate organisational systems
  • Actively manage and plan your career
  • Assess options and make informed career decisions

At its core, coaching is about taking ownership of your development. The coach supports this through structured questions, reflection, and feedback—helping you challenge assumptions and find your own solutions.

Our coaching approach is grounded in evidence-based methods drawn from leadership development, positive psychology, and adult learning theory. Sessions are goal-focused, tailored to your context, and built around a collaborative partnership between you and your coach.

Coaching is not the same as mentoring, supervision, teaching or counselling. It’s a future-focused, strengths-based process that supports you to clarify what matters most and take purposeful steps forward.
