For members facing challenging situations, our Doctor Support Service provides confidential and practical assistance from trained medical practitioners. This service is particularly useful for those dealing with legal and disciplinary matters, including Medicare and TAC audits, Coroner’s Court and Medical Board hearings, as well as lawsuits and industrial relations issues.

In addition to expert advice from our staff, the Doctor Support Service offers a compassionate volunteer to accompany you through stressful proceedings, providing a listening ear and support in whichever form suits you best, be it in-person, over the phone, or electronically.

AMA Victoria has a policy explaining service provision for pre-existing workplace issues or disputes.

If you are joining AMA Victoria with issues or disputes assessed as pre-existing, these may not be eligible for assistance or representation by AMA Victoria.

Just like insurance, this is why it is so important to join AMA Victoria before issues arise.

Our members enjoy the flexibility of a month-to-month payment plan. There are no long-term commitments or lock-in contracts, allowing you to manage your membership as your career needs change.
