Responding to now - New year, new leadership challenges
Program structure: Two sessions, 75 minutes each in duration, 2 weeks apart
This is a short program designed to discuss, plan and practice everyday leadership behaviours that can be helpful and effective in your role and situation right now.
The COVID pandemic is consuming much of our energy right now, and for some people this means that now may not feel like the time for a development program.
The ‘Responding to now’ program, is designed to meet the needs of doctors who, right now, are looking for support to develop a few actions and behaviours to support themselves and their team in the current workplace environment.
The program aims to provide space to think through and plan how your communications, teamwork and leadership could be more effective to support the burden of working in and through the COVID response.
This program acknowledges that the coaching focus is for right now. Targeted actions and SMART goals are in focus.
This is the program for people who want to engage in a development process, but want it to be targeted, immediate and realistic for right now. And while all our programs do have this focus, they are also framed in a broader picture of development goals that individuals may want to explore and embark on. This program explicitly ‘takes the pressure’ off this aim; instead, allowing people to be particularly focussed on the finer grained actions and behaviours that can help them and their colleagues daily now.

- How to check in with staff effectively, professionally, and compassionately
- How to run meetings effectively and efficiently while creating an open environment for discussion and input
- How to deal with difficult conversations and conflict
- How to give difficult feedback effectively
- How to manage their own leadership capacity for the current ongoing demands
