#341 Workplace Relations update
We have recently been approached by members raising concerns over the way that many private hospitals are pressuring doctors to accept contracts to treat public patients at rates well below the rates for private patients, due to the expected capacity issues at public hospitals.
#322 Vexatious complaints and the Code of Conduct
Over the past decade, there has been an increasingly common belief that Australia’s health complaints system is inadequate to deal with vexatious complaints. However an update to the Code of Conduct should act as a deterrent for people who make complaints to Ahpra without reasonable grounds and with the primary intent of causing harm to a practitioner.

AMA Victoria is seeking short, written, personal accounts about how the public hospital system is struggling to meet demand.
#315 Increase to Award minimum rates of pay
The Fair Work Commission (FWC) has varied the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 and the Nurses Award 2010 to increase existing rates of pay.

A crisis is occurring across Australian health care systems, evidenced by acutely worsening access block and subsequent overcrowding in emergency departments.
