Join us for a memorable day in Geelong on Wednesday 10 September 2025, featuring art, fine food, and coastal views.

We will travel together on the V/Line train from Southern Cross Station to Geelong, where a bus will take us to the Geelong Gallery. Here, you will enjoy the iconic Archibald Prize exhibition, showcasing a diverse range of portraiture from leading Australian artists.

After immersing yourself in the exhibition, we will gather for a relaxed lunch at Caruggi Restaurant, where you can choose from a selection of mains, pizza, and pasta. Please make your lunch selection when booking and take a moment to go through all the options.

The afternoon continues with a guided bus tour of the Geelong waterfront, offering a chance to take in the scenery and learn more about the area. The bus will then return us to Geelong Station for our train journey back to Melbourne.

If you prefer, you are welcome to meet us directly in Geelong rather than travelling with the group from Melbourne.

Your ticket includes entry to the Archibald Prize exhibition, lunch with tea and coffee, and the waterfront bus tour.

Itinerary

• 9:00 AM – Meet at Southern Cross Station
• 9:30 AM – Depart on the train to Geelong
• 10:30 AM – Coach transfer to Geelong Gallery
• 11:00 AM – Archibald Exhibition Entry
• 12:00 PM – Free time to explore additional collections 
• 12:30 PM – Lunch at Caruggi Restaurant (main meal + tea/coffee included, other drinks available for purchase)
• 1:45 PM – Walk back to the gallery
• 2:00 PM – Coach tour of Geelong Waterfront and transfer back to Geelong Station
• 2:30 PM – Train back to Melbourne
