The 2022-2026 Medical Specialist Enterprise Agreements is now available.

The Specialists' enterprise agreement came into effect on Thursday 3 November 2022.

AMA Victoria will be working on implementation guidance and sending out information about how to enforce some of the more significant changes.

We expect health services will be working with their payroll departments to process back payments as soon as practicable.

Read the agreements and a summary of the key changes below.

Specialists:

1. Increase of 4 weeks to 14 weeks paid parental leave for primary carer and an additional week for non‐primary carer. Employee couples can combine leave and take 16 weeks between them.
2. Climate and Sustainability clause.
3. Ministerial Review to take place within first six months of approval of agreement to look at out of hours work and remuneration.
4. Salary increases (including allowances) for both agreements of:

  • 2.75% from the First Full Pay Period on Approval (FFPPOA) 1 March 2022
  • 2.5% FFPPOA 1 September 2023
